The polymer can help clean up oil spills in the ocean. Seeing after the oil leak in the Gulf two years ago, this, the polymer, could've cleaned up the sea faster and lead to less drama about the ocean. The polymer can also clean up regular oil spills anywhere, too, an dnot take up a lot of time.

Wow, I think it's really impressive that a polymer is able to capture oil like that without causing any harm to the environment. I think it would be extremely beneficial to use this polymer to counteract large oil spills like those in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico. Although the polymer-to-oil ratio is one-to-one, cleanup time would not be as long and the environment would not be negatively affected as it might be if dish soap or some other substance were used to clean a spill.

That can be used to clean up oil in the ocean. It can also be used to clean up oil off of animals from a spill. It is non toxic and can clean dishes or wash skin.

The video was able to expand on the multiple ways polymers can be used to help our environment. For example, the polymers have the capability to easily and quickly clean up oil spills. Ironically, polymers can transform into Styrofoam, a material that is actually harmful to the environment.

The nontoxic Enviro-Bond 403 Polymer is a powdery substance that bonds to crude oil. This chain of molecules absorbs the oil like a sponge. Once bonded, the polymer and oil becomes rubbery and is able to be scooped up. It could clean the oil spills on land and in the water. This polymer also could be used to lift the oil off the skin, fur, and feathers of wildlife. The use of polymers like this could drastically reduce oil pollution. Another benefit is that the oil and polymer bonded together can be burned for energy. Overall, this use of polymer has no known adverse effects on the enviroment and saves oil that can still be used for energy.

There are many practical uses to this oil-absorbing polymer. As a non-toxic substance, it can be used in rinse-off face washes to control natural oils and in certain drying shampoos. It could remove oil spills, however in the 1-to-1 ratio, removing large ammount such as that in the Gulf Coast oil spill would cause further problems for the marine life and extreme clean-up efforts.

The practical use of the oil absorbing polymer is to clean up oil spills in the ocean as well as remove oil from affected sea animals and people. The polymer can quickly and safely remove pollution from the environment, plus its non-toxic!

We can use this polymer for major oil spills endangering the environment, such as the recent BP oil spill. With its non-toxic nature, it will remove the oil safely from animals and the ocean without harming anything in the processs. It is also fast working and easy to use.

This polymer seems like it would be very useful in stopping oil spills from spreading and making sure to keep the environment safer. The only problem that I really see with this is the amount that would be needed to plug a major oil spill - how would it be transported to the site, how expensive is it to make, how long does it take to make - all of these questions factor into the usefulness of the polymer. The time and money that it takes to produce it can't be too high or else the ease and efficiency of the product will be outweighed. Because I do not have all of the information about the product, I cannot offer a complete analysis on the usefullness, but with that specific information one would be able to accurately assess it

The oil absorbing polymer has various practical uses that could improve life. Because it effectively soaks up oil, we could use it not only to clean up disastrous oil spills, but also to clean animals that are the victims of the oil spills. The polymer can also be used as a source of clean, efficient energy after it has absorbed oil when it is burned as fuel, lit for heat, or employed in cooking. In addition, the polymer could be a cleaning agent for use in fast food restaurants, a way to reduce oil on various surfaces (from skin to machinery equipment), or as a way to restore animal habitats that have been soiled by oil spills.

I think this is a very effective non-toxic and environment-friendly material that can be used to at least contain oil spills. I think it is quite interesting that it can even help draw the oil off of animals. One good use would be the following: A large reason for the endangerment of the sea-animal the otter, is the cause and effects of oil spills and leaks. When an otter is covered in oil it has a hard time swimming or catching food. Also, mother otters cannot help there young in this state. Thus many otters die because of this. This material could help clean off the oil from the otters which has been a growing problem for rescue shelters of such creatures.

The oil-absorbing polymer can be very useful in cleaning up oil spills in the oceans. It is great how we can clean up our waters efficiently and safely. This substance can be a great tool for our environment in the future.

It could also be used to prevent oil spills on brick walls, thus reducing the high chances of Humpty Dumpty falling off brick walls Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
