Refrigeration changed over the years, first it was ice, and then it was actual refrigerators. Ice was shipped across the globe in order for people to keep food cool. Food could be shipped around the globe after a small family farm started to harvest ice from ponds and lakes.

I think that this is a great invention and way that we wont lose electricity. it is also really cool how they stopped the atoms, then used a laser to manipulate the atoms into pairing up. Having trains that are magnetically levitated is a great idea!

I thought that the movie on absolute cold was very informative. I learned that the absolute cold temperature is-273 C. Also many scientists got involved in developing cold such as Robert Boyle and Lavoisier. One scientist, i forgot his name, but he started a business up in New England taking the ice from a lake and shipping it as far as India and the Carribean.

Wow. The whole idea of fermionic condensate as something that can make but not use energy sounds really cool. It's what scientists have been searching for for a while: the problem solved, right? But the whole process of freezing it to absalute zero and using lasers to pair up the particles seems a little bit like it's too much work for too little result. Still, mechanically "flying trains" might be worth the effort!

Very interesting concept, but I believe that it is impossible because it can only be done with the complete absence of heat which is impossible because the machines that creat absolute zero also produce (even if a very small amount) of heat.

This is avery interesting point about the levitating train. it would be a good idea to just use cold and a magnetic fiend for cars, trains, and other things, but we would have to make all the roads magnetic in some way. That would cost a ton of money. (It would also be cold inside the car if the cold was the thing powering it and was all around it). Other than those things it would be fine.
